MUDCRACKS
CLOSEThe fine art MUDCRACKS collection is a photo reportage about the extreme droughts caused by the heatwaves. It takes us through the artistic path that shows the far-reaching impact of the drought on nature. At the bottom of the pond all the fish, shells and water plants lay dead on the dried mud. The view over the waterless pond looked unnatural but also fascinating.
‘Making of the photo series MUDCRACKS confirmed that not only does man need water, but nature also depends on it.’
The place where the photo reportage was made is owned by the largest drinking water company in the Netherlands – Vitens. The water extraction area Olden Eibergen is located in the municipality of Berkelland. Recurring droughts and the shortage of water is becoming a serious problem.
‘All fine art prints of MUDCRACKS are developed in limited edition and artist proof to keep it exclusive.’
